SNOWMOBILE TRAIL PERMITS
A Town of Webb/Inlet Trail Permit is required. The Towns of Webb & Inlet Snowmobile Trail Permits will be going on sale October 1, 2009 for the upcoming winter season. The Pre-Season Permit sale price is $65 per snowmobile until November 15, 2009 and then the price will be $80.

This special offer must be purchased in person, no mailed applications will be accepted.
Permits can be purchased at the Old Forge Visitor Center daily from 9am to 5pm and on Fridays until 8pm in January, February and March. Also, permits can be purchased at the Inlet Visitor Center daily from 9am to 6pm and on Fridays until 9pm during snowmobile season. If you are coming in by sled from the west, purchase your permits at The Stillwater Shop during their business hours.

There is also a Seasonal Weekday permit for $50 per snowmobile that gives a discount to the visitors and local residents who like to ride during the week but not on weekends. That special permit is good for the entire season from 5pm Sunday evenings to 5pm Friday evenings.
Weekly permits can also be purchased during the season for $45 each and are good for seven days from date of purchase. The 7-day permits must be purchased in person on the first day of use.
The Town of Webb & Inlet Snowmobile Trails will be opening on Monday, December 7, 2009 weather permitting. The 33rd Annual Snodeo will take place the following weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 11-13, 2009 at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street and is sponsored by the Central Adirondack Association.

- Permits Stickers must be displayed on the driver’s left windshield.
- Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) and your birthdate are required to issue a permit.
Permits should be purchased by or in the name of the owner of the snowmobile whose name appears on the New York State registration. Permits are not transferable from one person to another.
- Replacement stickers can only be issued (one time only) if the old sticker with the number visible is presented. (Old stickers can be removed by applying heat, as with a hair dryer.) A replacement permit will not be issued without receiving the old sticker first. To upgrade a weekly permit to a seasonal permit, the paper receipt of the weekly permit must be submitted to our office.
- Permits expire April 1, 2010.
