Kinderwood 3 year old class
This class is open to 3 year olds in the Central Adirondack region.
You can choose the 3-day option or 5-day option. They help your preschooler work and play
to gain the early development skills they need.

SHARP (Senior Health, Activities and Recreation Program)

Brief Program Description:
The Senior Health, Activities and Recreation Program is for independent seniors 62+.
It is a weekly, year-round program offering socialization, activities and a congregate meal.
The program is offered by the Town of Webb and is free and open to local
independent seniors. They meet at 139 Park Ave. in Old Forge every
Thursday from 10am-2pm and lunch is provided.
If an interested senior needs a ride, they will try to arrange for one if possible with at least a few day’s advance notice.
People with special needs are welcome if accompanied by a caregiver.
There are occasional field trips locally and out of town. One favorite activitiy is visiting with the Kindergarten class about once a month. They also enjoy playing Pitch, games, puzzles, taking walks and visiting VIEW Arts Center, the library and the Town of Webb FHistorical Association. More adventurous participants may do a hike or short climb. Suggestions for other activities or educational programs are always welcome.

As the region's year-round center for arts and culture, VIEW offers art classes and workshops in all media, including pottery; music and theater performances in all genres; and more that 20 exhibitions presented in four galleries. Brief Program Description:  
The Healthy Kids Early Learning Centers offer programs for toddlers and preschoolers. Kindergarteners through grade 5 have an after school child care program available to them.
These programs are specifically designed to meet the children's needs in all areas of development while viewing
the whole child which includes social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
Opportunities are provided for the children to explore their world through fine and gross motor activities,
songs, stories, finger plays, active and quiet times. The teachers and teacher assistants develop warm,
caring, and supportive relationships with the children. What's most important to them
is that the children find Healthy Kids Centers a safe, happy and fun place to be.

Brief Program Description: 
Formerly known as the Town of Webb Health Center Fund,
the Community Health and Wellness Fund is directly involved in the maintenance and 
improvement of the healthcare provider and dental offices, including purchase of equipment
and support of the facility and personnel. 
They offer a scholarship program for graduating seniors,
alumni and area residents engaged in healthcare studies. 
The fund has also developed a healthcare provider recruitment 
and retention plan with MVHS. The plan that provides financial support
to providers in return for a commitment of service at the Old Forge facility

The firehouse is an emergency shelter with a generator.
There is an emergency call box in the ambulance. The department has a landing strip
behind Otter Lake Station for use as an emergency helicopter landing.

Boater Safety, and Driver Safety courses.

Meeting the emergency needs of the community by
providing emergency medical services from Stillwater to Woodgate. On duty Advanced Life Support personnel 24/7. Additional EMT's and volunteer drivers utilized. The Corps answers approximately 350-450 calls a year and now serves Big Moose with approximately 25-35 calls annually.

Brief Description:
Raquette Lake Ambulance Squad is a part of the all-volunteer Raquette Lake Fire Department. The 76-mile ambulance transport to Utica is believed to be the longest in the state. Besides the ambulance they have a snowmobile and rescue sled. This provides vital emergency transportation during the winter.
Advanced life support providers from Inlet, Old Forge and Woodgate regularly hop on to assist. The group sincerely appreciates the efforts of the EMS squads in neighboring communities.
